Greetings from Gord Acri of ACRI PICKS

Thanks to all my valued customers. I have been able to expand my product line this year. I have been custom making medium size finger picks and thumb picks for the last year so I decided to go into production. The new medium finger pick will come in brass with cupped (dished) blade. The overall size is reduced by 10%.

Acri. When Gord Acri couldn't find a brand of fingerpick which suited him, he set out to make his own. The result is a pick available in either stainless steel or brass with wide straps which almost cover the end of the finger like a thimble. Players that have made the transition tell me that Acri picks stay on their fingers more reliably without being so tight as to cut off the blood circulation in the fingertips, and their design can be an asset in getting great tone from any instrument.

I have been experimenting with a thumb pick for several years and have solved many common problems. If you have any problems or questions Contact Me.

The Thumb Pick Problems Which I Addressed
1. COMFORT
The brass band is easy to custom fit and thus minimizing pressure points. There are no holes or sharp edges near the cuticle, which cause it to callous and eventually crack.

2. SOUND
The blade is Delrin plastic. The angle of the blade has been increased to make pick strike more parallel to the string and thus reducing excessive ware on the edge and eliminating the sound of the edge dragging on the string.

3. PERFORMANCE
To have a comfortable pick that fits and doesn't cut off circulation allows you to pick at those marathon jam sessions on into the night without all the pain. The unique design eliminates possibility of a string getting caught under the band.

Special Thanks to Bill Emerson for his input on the thumb pick design and to Bill Keith for his Banjo Newsletter review of the Acri Pick.
